Gladys,
Can you believe that Dennis Hwang wrote us back??? When I read your letter and realized that another liked them as much as I did, I was HOPFUL to post the request as you did, BUT I never thought that HE HIMSELF would write us back!!!! I feel like a famous person took time out to do ‘a kind deed’….I don’t remember anyone ever doing something that nice for me!!! (and YOU!) I can’t wait to show my Grandchildren Dennis’ Beijing 2008 Doodles!
I pray that Dennis gets all the work that he desires!!!
August 15th, 2008
thank you
August 16th, 2008
please keep them all here. I;ll be away for 10 days and want to have the whole collection. I dunno why google doesn’t have them in their logo-archives. Well at least they weren’t there last week.
August 18th, 2008
So, this whole time, I had thought that there maybe secret titles for the daily pictures set on Google; maybe for people to guess, I thought maybe Google was switching it up for the Olympics. WRONG!
I am so dissappointed too! I thought I had it.
“speedy sheep”
“mighty mouse”
“swift swine”
etc.
But I was unable to figure out anymore….
August 18th, 2008
Wonderful job you have created Dennis. My daughter (Shaynesha) has decided to collect all your Olympics doodle and all others Google doodle. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!! Is there anywhere else we can log in to see other Google doodles???

@Kim,
You can find a big collection of Google Logos here http://www.google.com/holidaylogos.html

I had copied and pasted the Olympic logos in a file for about five days before I found this site. Having the whole collection in one place is great. I have already shared it with my children, grandchildren and friends. Thank you.

Jana,
I thought the donkey playing soccer was from the movie about Gus the donkey that played soccer. Wonder if I was right.
August 19th, 2008
I believe the animals are from the Chinese zodiac.
As there are twleve zodiac symbols and 14 days, some animals had to appear twice.
goat/sheep
mouse/rat
pig/boar
ox/cow
monkey
dragon
tiger
horse/donkey
dog
dragon (again)
snake
leaving: rabbit/hare and rooster
August 19th, 2008
Good job, Monica, on the content.
And the art is amazing.
August 19th, 2008
It was obvious from day 2 that they were making this the Chinese zodiac characters. I’ve been keeping track on my own before I saw this (Thanks for putting them all on one place)… Many creatures have been in several logos… The rabbit and Rooster are the only ones not yet displayed (Which, as a rooster, ticks me off). The rat and dragon have shown up 3 times each! Unfair… The ram, tiger, snake and dog have each had 2 images with them in it. Ox, bore monkey and horse… one a piece. Where’s my rooster!?
August 19th, 2008
Kitty- I’m a Rooster as well and curious what the event will be.
For those wanting to learn about their symbols:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_astrology
provides directions for calculating their own symbol.

Ashish, where did you know about it???
August 20th, 2008
@Chess Master,
I can offer a small tip for finding tomorrow’s logo.
Visit the Google’s web of any country that is ahead of your time zone and the next day started in that country.
I check Google Australia site http://www.google.com.au/ from India in the evening times to get tomorrow’s logo.
