Do You Know That Women Rule Social Web?
If you are under the assumptions that social websites are ruled by men then it’s not correct. As per to the latest stats released by Information is Beautiful website, the social websites are ruled by Women. These stats are compiled with the help of Google Ad Planner data and the figures reveal some surprising information.
Women are out numbering Men in sites like Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed, MySpace and Bebo. The ratio of Men and Women are same in the sites LinkedIn, YouTube and DeviantArt.
The only holdout for Men is Digg and they account for 65% of the population on the site. This is not surprise as majority of the content posted on Digg is related to technology. Here is the graph that gives insight on social media usage of men and women
I’m surprised by these stats. What about you? What are your comments?
