Apple – The Terminator. iPhone Apps Can Be Removed Remotely By Apple

If Apple finds that an application is potentially harmful then it can remove the application from not only the Apple Store but also from individual iPhones.
Surprised? Yes, they have the ability to remotely remove rouge applications from our iPhones.
This shows the amount of control Apple has control on our iPhones – they control who are our mobile service providers, what applications we can install and now what application we should uninstall. Do you think that we really own our iPhone?
This news was first reported by iPhone Atlas blog post saying
…iPhone calls home once in a while to find out what applications it should turn off. At the moment, no app’s have been blacklisted, but by all appearances, this has been added to disable applications that the user has already downloaded and paid for, if Apple so chooses to shut them down.
Lets hope that Apple is going to use this feature very sensible and presses the Remove button only if they find a very annoying application.
