eBay Sells Off Skype

eBay dislodged Skype from its boat and it sold to a small VC Group in deal valuating it at $2.75 billions. Back in 2005 EBay acquired Skype for $3.0 billions and it was not the best acquisition.

The investors will buy 65% of Skype by paying $1.9 billions in cash and eBay continuous to hold 35% of stake.
