With the recent launch of new SMS service by Southern Railways, now you can check the PNR status of ticket reservation even on the move from your mobile.

Type your PNR number prefixed as ‘PNR’ and send SMS to 139.

Currently this service is available on all mobiles except BSNL and Reliance.Apart from this service you can even make a call to this number to get train-related information like timings of a particular train.
