Microsoft Security Essentials’ New Beta Releases

I’m using Microsoft Security Essentials(MSE) on all my 3 PCs and the level of protection it offers is excellent. It’s the best among the free antivirus programs available in market and trust me, we don’t need to invest any money for paid antivirus programs for home computers as MSE is all we need.

Microsoft today released a new, limited beta of Microsoft Security Essentials that includes:

  • Windows Firewall integration (allowing users to turn on or off the Windows Firewall during setup)
  • An updated anti-malware engine with “enhanced detection and cleanup capabilities with better performance,” according to the Softies
  • Network inspection system functionality to help fend off network-based exploits
  • Internet Explorer integration for additional protection against Web-based attacks[Tech Dreams: Is really some using IE these days?]

Those who are interested to try out the new beta can download it from here.
