Firefox 4: Restore I’m Feeling Lucky Feature Of Awesomebar

Browser By Name feature of Firefox Awesomebar is one of my favourite feature. It lets me open a website by entering name of the website instead of URL. For example, in Awesomebar(location bar) I can just type Life Hacker directly takes me to http://www.lifehacker.com website. This feature of Firefox let the users to browse web naturally using simple English words rather using the domain names where at times we enter misspelled domain names and land on crappy websites.

For some reason the Browse By Name ( more generally known as I’m Feeling Lucky feature, which is technically wrong) is disabled by default in Firefox 4. To restore the feature all you need to do is install Lucky Bar add-on and Firefox 4 Awesomebar lets you browse the web naturally.

Install Lucky Bar add-on for Firefox 4
