Google Maps for Android upgrade brings better battery life, indoor maps and directions

Google Maps for Android is upgraded with few new features and performance fixes that improves battery life, indoor maps and improved directions. One of the biggest complaints Android users have while using Google Maps with GPS  features is the battery drain issue. With the new update, Google is confident of fixing the battery drain issues and improving the overall battery life while using Maps.

Transit Navigation (beta) feature newly introduced in this version uses vehicle speed to estimate the navigation directions when the GPS signal is lost. Google also released its first ever floor plans it has started collecting recently and it includes plans of CES as well as few buildings of Las Vegas.
