Few days ago we wrote an article on creating desktop shortcuts of a web site using IE and Firefox. Here is a similar trick for Google Chrome Browser to create desktop shortcuts easily

  1. Open Google Chrome browser and browse to the page that you want to create a short cut
  2. Resize the browser so that you can see both desktop and browser
  3. Drag and drop the bookmark icon on the left of the address bar on your desktop. The shortcut will be created.

It does work in Chrome for MAC – just figured out how…. You save the shortcut in one of your bookmarks folder. Then open the bookmarks folder and drag and drop to the desktop from there!

    Enjoy!
