Google Talk (GTalk) is my favorite instant messenger for personal communication. As I use the messenger almost every day I mastered the keyboard shortcuts and efficiently using the application.
If you want to use GTalk effectively, learn these keyboard shortcuts:

| F9 | Launch GMail to send an email to the person you are chatting with |
| Esc | Close the current chat window |
| Alt + Esc | Close all chat windows |
| F11 | Begin a voice call |
| F12 | Cancel the voice call |
| Tab | Switch between the opened chat windows |
