We place files as well as shortcuts on our desktops for quick access. But over time the number of items becomes too many and desktop looks messy. If your desktop is over crowded and you don’t have mood to clean it up now, how about temporarily hiding all the icons on the desktop for a cleaner view?
Here is how you can quickly hide all icons on your desktop in Windows 7: Right click on your desktop, point to View, and then uncheck the option Show Desktop Icons.
You can restore the hidden icons by checking the option “Show desktop icons”
