As many of the new Microsoft Windows applications are developed using .NET Framework, it is becoming mandatory to install .NET Framework on our personal computers. Microsoft provides .NET Framework installer as a free download available to everyone. But it is an online installer. That means, initially we have to download a small piece of installer and upon starting the installation process the installer automatically connects to Microsoft servers and downloads the required components and completes the installation.
The online installers works great as long as we have internet connectivity always. But many of us required offline installer to install the software on computers not connected to internet, to save the bandwidth while installing on many computers, etc.
I gathered a set of links on Microsoft servers from where we can download the offline installers of .NET Framework 4.0, 3.5, .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, .NET Framework 3.0 and .NET Framework 2.0.

I have noticed that XP MCE is not compatible with dotNet 4.0.
MS has no intention of fixing it because MCE is out of service date.

glad to see you back and it’s expected that Microsoft is not going to support most of it’s new products on Windows XP. IE 9 /.NET 4/VS 2010 etc… It’s time to upgrade to Windows 7
i diwnloaded .net framework 3.5 sp1 frm here dats ur site bt nw iam unable to install it,it is of 197 mb and for installation it redirects me to microsoft homepage where there is again option of download of .net vich is of 255 mb,i didnt hv enough bw,plz tell hw to install urs .net framework 3.5 spi vich is in my pc dwlded of 197 mb……….plz tell solution fastly

.NET 3.5 offline download is 197 MB and .NET 3.5 SP 1 is 231 MB. May be by mistake you would have downloaded .NET 3.5 instead of .NET 3.5 SP1. Please check it.
Thanks for posting these links! Net Frameworks 3.5 tried to download something, I just waited and it continued after five tries to connect the internet by saying “Download complete, you can deconnect the internet now”

We are not able to locate part of .NET 3.5 SP 1 standalone installer. It looks like we have to download 200+ MB .NET 3.5 SP 1 full installer.

cant run .net frame work 3.5 showing me error message the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). click on o to terminate application
